Smoky Forest Floor, Lassen NP
Slight lens flare on right side. Should I try to take it out?

Nice one Mike...I like this even better than your last post.
Flare is not a problem...in fact, I can't even see it.
Slight magenta coloring on the left...may be from the smoke, or from processing....noticeable, but not objectionable.

I see a really funky green/cyan/blue fringing and color artifacts on the left side of the frame. I find it quite distracting. I'm not sure if that is what you are referring too.

I do like everything else about this though. The backlighting and the rays of light pouring through the trees are very cool.

I love the mood in this shot. The leading tree trunk shadow lines in the center are great, as is the fog/smoke. I also like the framing with two big solid trunks, one on each side. I am distracted by some color artifacts in the dark left-most trunk, as well as some blue/mangenta issues by the trunk second to the left.

Overall, a wonderful shot!

Great. I dont see any problem with the glare. Maybe I would like some deeper shadows...in the end it is a really backlit situation, and even if the sensors of nowadays are able to cope with such a wide latitude, I particularly like the "mystery" given by shadows in this kind of images.

This works well for me. Maybe just a bit more space on the left.

Also, that leftmost treebark is looking absolutely colorful, maybe a bit too colorful.

Agreed that the leftmost trees need some work. I do really like this shot. I love that its backlit, and that you can see the rays of light coming through the dust in the air. Very well done!

The lens flare is pretty minimal. I wouldn't worry about it. I like the shot very much
